Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind Holiday Set Review

The holiday sets for the 2015 holiday season are all over the internet. I started seeing the first videos and posts before October even began and as any good beauty lover, I have been all over the YouTube videos. By now, I have seen multiple reviews for all of the Tarte, Too Faced, Makeup Forever, Urban Decay and Lorac sets. My plan is to purchase at least two large shadow palettes and the best value lip and cheek sets with a few other extras thrown in.

What I love about the holiday season is that a lot of value sets come out and that means I can get a lot more bang for my buck. Today I have a review for you on something that I think is one of the best sets of the season. It's super affordable and for anyone like myself, who has curious about Bite Beauty but is hesitant to spend $24 on a lipstick, this is a great one. I have heard SO MUCH good stuff about Bite Beauty that it was about time I tried something and at $25 the Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind set is actually a steal. BTW, I loved my set so much that I ordered a second for Monkey.

This post is pretty pic-heavy but I am in love with this set, and it's wayyy cute!
P.S. On this day I was running on three hours of sleep, so those bags are the real deal.

The holiday designed tin makes the Best Bite Rewind set perfect for holiday giving. What a great gift for a co-worker, the kids teachers or anyone who loves beauty. This is also an outstanding stocking stuffer.

This set contains:
- 4 x 0.031 oz Mini Matte Crème Lip Crayons in Café (peachy-brown nude), Torte (brown-toned rose), Coulis (raspberry red), Aubergine (eggplant)

Big props on the large mirror on the tin. That makes this set super purse friendly.

FYI: A full-sized Bite Beauty Matte Lip Crayon has .05oz and is $24.

Café is the color in this set that originally held me back from getting it. I didn't think this color would suit my skin-tone at all and because of it, it took me weeks to finally order it. I had even swatched them in store and didn't like it at all, it wasn't until I saw Emily Noel's video on the set that I finally saw how good they could look on, including Café.

Café is described as a peachy-brown nude which on me looks more peachy pink. This was the first one I tried on and I was impressed with how pigmented and smooth it went on. I think Café really went well with the blue smoky eye I was wearing that day and it didn't wash me out at all the way these type of shade can do.  I ended up really liking Café .

Torte is described as a brown-toned rose. This is one of those universal colors that looks good on just about every skin tone.

I can see Torte as being an everyday shade, it's super easy to wear and just gives your lips a touch of color that is really pretty. This reminds me a tad of A Touch Of Blush from the Maybelline Creamy Nudes collection but that's more on the pink side while Torte has more brown mixed in. But it's in the same dusty family and that's what makes this a great everyday shade.

Coulis is a raspberry red shade that I knew I would love, these next two colors are totally my jam and the type of shades that I always reach for.

I love this combination of raspberry and red, it gives you the pop of a red lip without being too ostentatious. If you've been looking for a red lip for the holidays but find that the really bright reds can be too scary, then Coulis might be a good one for you to try out. This shade is definitely what I would call "sexy".

Aubergine is described as an eggplant shade and this is probably my favorite of the set. Of course it is because I love me so berry shades.

Aubergine, like Coulis, is one of the festive shades from this set. I can see both of these shades being pulled out for a holiday party. For me they are both everyday shades. Aubergine is a gorgeous berry that I think would be universally flattering. Who does't look good in a berry shade?

The Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind set is a total winner for me. Like I said, I purchased  a second for one my girls and would have purchased more if I knew any of the other girls would like these shades. The presentation is super holiday appropriate, it's adorable and the little tin is super handy with its big mirror.

But now let's talk about this formula. When I began to swatch my lips were quite dry. I remember thinking "Oh, gross", as I went to apply the lightest shade. But none of the shades skipped or dragged and by the time I was on the third shade, my lips no longer felt as dry and flaky. This formula is so creamy, super comfortable to wear and I was so impressed with it that I will definitely be trying more Bite Beauty soon.

At $25 the Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind Holiday Set is a steal. Buy it for yourself or buy it as a gift, I think anyone would love to get this for the holidays. I know I would. Two thumbs way up from me.

Will you be checking out the Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind Holiday Set?
