Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection in Plum Basics

A few weeks ago I scored one more of the Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection Palettes. I was excited to walk into my local CVS and find that the Milani display had been changed and now there was a spot for these newer palettes. There is still one shade that was missing from the collection but I did get Plum Basics which I was super excited about. I had seen pics of this on Milani's Insta page and knew that I had to have it because the shades in this palette are so pretty.

To see my post for the Milani Everyday Eyes Palette in Earthy ElementsMust Have Naturals, Vital Brights and Smoky Essentials press each link and you will be taken to each post.

Quick overview of the Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection: Each of these palettes features a Base, Contour, Lid, Crease, Specialty and Liner shade and is priced at $9.99. You can find these for $8.99 if your Walmart carries Milani, mine does not so I purchased mine at CVS.

This plum and mauve palette is in my opinion one of the prettiest from the whole collection. Plum Basics has one of the most beautiful taupe shades I have ever seen (for the neutral lover) but also has two gorgeous pops of color, and a really pretty sparkly shade for the little girl in all of us. All of us have a little girl inside that loves glitter right?

Ahhhh, it's so pretty! I love this color combo I really do.

The Plum Basics Palette has five super decent shades, the only "problematic" one being the glittery one. I used that in the inner corner for the look below and found that it did have a lot of glitter fall out, not just on application but the whole day I would find stray glitters floating around my face. If you use Fix + on this, I'm sure that can be remedied to a point. But even with that problem, I like this shade a lot, in person it's really pretty.

The rest of the shades swatched evenly, and are pretty pigmented. I like how the two plum/purple shades are not super bright purple, they are more of a muted plum which makes them more wearable. I love, love that matte taupe and can see me using that like every single day of ma life.

The liner I was trying on this day is awful. It's the Jordana Cat Eye Liner and I am going to have to chuck it because I hate how it looks in the photos.

Another look at the swatches.

Overall do I recommend the Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Palette in Plum Basics? Absolutely! If you enjoy drugstore makeup and have been looking for a good quality palette, I suggest these. With six palettes in the collection you are sure to find one to your liking, if not more. Don't forget that I do have posts for all up, you can find the links at the top of this post. I am really happy with this palette and I can't say more good things about it. For the money, Milani has given us some amazing palettes!
