Collection: My ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Blushes & Bronzer

All of the excitement of ColourPop's second birthday has made me bring out my ColourPop goodies to not just share with you all, but to give them some use, finally. It's hard when you own so much makeup to give anything much use but I have definitely put my ColourPop shadows to use since this post and now plan to do the same with the blushes and bronzer that I own from the brand as well. I admit that my blush collection is pretty limited, only consisting of four shades, plus I have UNO bronzer too. Uno? Yes, uno.

Why do I only own 4 ColourPop blushes and one bronzer?

I think the reason that I don't own more of these is simply because the formula is one that I have a harder time with. These blushes are just like the Super Shock Shadows in consistency, which means that you have to use a stipple brush for application or better yet, your fingers. Not being the biggest fan of finger application I guess I pass them a lot of the time choosing instead to work with blushes that require less work. But now that I have swatched them and see just how beautiful each shade really is, you bet that I am going to put some effort into them and start using them a lot more.

So now let me introduce you to my small ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Collection, plus UNO bronzer.

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Mochi, Never Been Kissed, Cruel Intentions, Fruit Stand & Bronzer in Poolside.

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Fruit Stand is a really bright coral that I knew I had to own because I am such a sucker for a good coral shade. I own quite a few lipsticks in this very same tone and it's nice to own such a true, red-coral blush that's going to be superb for summer.

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Mochi has me questioning my sanity. This is the first ColourPop Super Shock Cheek that I ever purchased because it looked so pretty on the model they used for the promotion, and I have used it a few times. Yet, I never noticed that it is such a light, blue-pink shade that would never in a million look good on me. In fact when I swatched it, I thought I had mixed the blushes up, but that Barbie looking pink was indeed my beloved Mochi and now I am all confused about it. Maybe it looks darker on the cheek than on the arm?

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Never Been Kissed was one that I got during a 20% off sale along with Cruel Intentions and is another great coral, this one a little dustier and pinker than Fruit Stand. I'd say if you want to try a more wearable and everyday coral, this one would be it, plus it swatched so creamy and soft!

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Cruel Intentions ended up being my favorite once I got all the swatches done. This blush is the most beautiful rosy shade that I think would make a great blush shade year-round. I was so stunned by the swatch because I really haven't given these blushes any use, and can't wait to wear them a lot more now.

The ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Bronzer in Poolside is another one that took me by surprise today because even though I have worn this a few times, I don't think I've ever played it correctly because I've never gotten the beautiful finish that I got on my swatch. Poolside is a beautiful golden bronzer with a satin finish that is so completely buttery smooth to swatch and seriously just look at that pigmentation and finish! I will definitely have to pull out the stipple brush this week and try this out, and hopefully I can capture this beautiful finish on ma face.

Overall I have to say that getting this post together has made me realize exactly what I have been missing by not putting these ColourPop goodies to use. Pretty much the same thing happened when I swatched the ColourPop Super Shock eyeshadows last week. For those of us that own so much makeup, we actually get to the point where we don't use our products enough and I have to say that is the case with my ColourPop collection. However, now that I have swatched these products and seen their full potential, you can bet that they will no longer be sitting in my make up drawer without being used.

ColourPop Super Shock Cheek Blushes and Bronzers are $8 a piece regularly and you can often score them for less during one of their 20% off sales. I would definitely recommend you grab a few next time that you place an order in case you haven't already tried them.
