Ciate London Chloe Morello Beauty Haul Swatches

*affiliate links in post

Ciate London is a brand that I haven't tried out too much of. Last year on recommendation from a YT video I picked up their little Liquid Velvet holiday trio and I loved it. But besides that I have tried nothing else. I do admit that their eyeshadow palettes have always caught my eye so I was excited when I found out about the Ciate London and Chloe Morello collaboration. I didn't know who Chloe Morello was but when I saw the palette on Instagram I knew I had to order it. Seriously, this is one of the best color selections that I have seen in any palette, if you like more fall and winter shades like myself. I am calling this post a first impressions because I have not worn the shades on my eyes yet, but I wanted to get these swatches out to you before the Sephora VIB sale that starts Nov 4th in case you are thinking about getting this palette. Let's get started ok?

The Ciate London Chloe Morello Beauty Haul includes the Pretty, Fun & Fearless 15-pan eyeshadow palette, a mini Wonderland Mascara in the shade Black Magic and a mini Liquid Velvet in the shade PinUp. You also get a really cute makeup pouch and the price on the Sephora site is $49. If you get it during the VIB sale it will be $39.20 which is more what it's worth in my opinion. Let's talk about the price for just a minute because for me it is the only real con of this entire set. At the original price of $49, I do think the Ciate London Chloe Morello Beauty Haul is overpriced. Not that it's not a good palette, it really is nice, but I would have rather seen the palette alone for a price of about $39.  That's why I do suggest that you pick this up during the VIB sale.

Now let's talk about the product shall we? Presentation wise it's definitely beautiful. A lot of attention to detail was put into the outer box as well as the outside of the pallet, which is really nice. If you guys know me at all, you know that presentation is big to me so I definitely loved all the packaging of this set.

As for the actual shades in the palette? Like I said above, this is one of the best shade selections that I have ever seen. I'm so in love with the selection of neutrals in this pallet plus the mauve and purple shades are to die for. The palette includes 9 matte shades and 6 shimmers which I think is a nice balance.

the swatches

Top row of the Ciate London Chloe Morello Pretty, Fun & Fearless Palette: This was the least successful row for me. The first two shades didn't have a lot of pigmentation in the swatches but at the same time I really liked that shimmer shade at the end.

"On Fire" (one of the ones I most looked forward to) and "Queen Bee" are nice and it's surprising just how soft and buttery the matte shades are. Iv'e been seeing from everyone else's review that they blend super well on the eyes.

Middle row of the Ciate London Chloe Morello Pretty, Fun & Fearless Palette: The shade "vacay" in this row has to be my favorite of the shimmer shades and one of my favorites of the whole palette. It's perfection. Meanwhile the matte shades in this row were nicely pigmented for me and so soft that they did kick up some product, which you can see in the photos.

Overall I liked this row quite a lot and it has a lot to do with "vacay, be sassy and jet setter."

Bottom row of the Ciate London Chloe Morello Pretty, Fun & Fearless Palette: My favorite of the rows hands-down even though the first shimmer shade called "dainty" is pretty bad. That shade lacked pigmentation and shimmer in the swatch and was not good. The other two shimmer shades in this row were both good, not as good as vacay but pretty good. And I really like the shade called "own it" because it's not a shade you see often in a shimmer finish.

Meanwhile the two matte shades in this row called "flirt and daydream" are incredible. Those two shades are SO pigmented, they swatched practically the same color as in the pans, and they are both so soft and creamy. Plus the shades themselves are gorgeous! I don't think I have run into shades in these tones better pigmented than these two.

Beautiful right? Only that shimmer shade is pretty bad. But those matte shades and that top shimmer, it really is to die for.

Liquid Velvet in the shade PinUp: I already love this product and have in fact been looking forward to getting this year's holiday trio so I was excited when I saw this was included. The shade PinUp is a soft nude pink shade that is GORG and this formula is great. It goes on velvety soft and will eventually dry down to a matte but now that super matte of a regular liquid lippie. I've worn the shade a few times now and would definitely consider a full size.

I did not get a chance to try the mascara from the Ciate London Chloe Morello Beauty Haul but the palette and lippie are winners for me. I love that this is an all inclusive palette that has a brow bone shade, a few crease shades and even though there's no black you have the dark purple and plum to deepen any look. I'm still not super comfortable with the $49 price tag but if you get it during the VIB sale then I think you are getting your money's worth for sure. I am glad that I picked it up to try it and that I now know more about Ciate London shadows and I hope my post can help you decide whether to pick it up or not.
