Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick Review & Swatches

If you've been on social media these past weeks, you've seen the Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks. I had no idea that these were even coming until one day I saw them on Instagram, Wet n Wild sure knows how to keep us on our toes! It took me about a week to find these at my local stores, I was pretty lucky to find them a rather quickly compared to other Wet n Wild limited edition displays. Today I have a review on three of the Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick shades for you. There are actually 13 shades in this range, which I think is super decent. However, these are the only three shades that I could see myself wearing over and over again. I am trying to be a little more mindful of my budget and only purchase stuff I know I will use instead of buying it all and never wearing most of what I get.

They are especially low priced if you happen to find them on sale,  which you know is something that Wet n Wild always does. I happen to know that they are currently buy one get one 50% off at Walgreens this week.

The formula: formula wise I do think that these matte lipsticks are so much better than the last batch from the Wet Wild Autumn Lush fall collection. That collection was also cheaper at only $2.99 a tube, but I definitely think that the three dollar price hike is worth the much improved formula. The Autumn Lush collection was also very limited with only four shades, this one has 13 which immediately makes it so much better. And, while that formula was a lot more watery and felt a bit strange going on, I really was surprised when I found how creamy this one is to apply. Application is very creamy, very soft and fully pigmented in one swipe. I also really liked how it doesn't dry immediately so you are given enough time to really work on your application, you can even press your lips together for the first few minutes and it just feels creamy and soft.
Wear time: I found the wear time of these Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit matte lipsticks to be on par with just about any other good quality liquid lipstick. I have worn them for up to eight hours, depending on what I have eating and drinking of course. But they do have a great formula that stays put for a long time. Eventually and depending on if you're eating something very greasy it does begin to wear off in the inner portion of your lips, but it's basically your average liquid lipstick. What is very nice about it though is that it is not overly drying, I never found it to crack or accentuate the lines of my lips or any of the ugly things that sometimes happens with liquid lippies. Overall, and especially for the fact that these are $5, I would say run and get all the shades that you want to before they are gone. They're good you guys, very good in fact.
