January Beauty Favorites

Once again it is almost the middle of the month and I am just now posting my January Beauty Favorites. What else is new? Anyways, let me not drone on about how late I am with this post, let's instead get right to the good stuff. Here are my January Beauty Favorites.
The LORAC Pro Palette is one of those items in my collection that always gets ignored. I find LORAC shadows to be difficult to work with because they can be dryer and don't mesh with my dry eyelids. However, in January I really gave this palette a shot and ended up becoming a huge fan of a few of the shades in there, especially Pewter. In fact, Pewter has become my everyday go-to shade for smudging under the waterline. It's such a gorgeous color that looks stunning smudged under the eye with a ton of black liner.
New to me in January was this Maybelline FaceStudio Master Blush Color & Highlight Kit. From the minute that I spotted this inside of Walmart, I knew that we would get along. Not only is it priced at $9.99, which is an absolute bargain, the quality of these blushes is great. There's tons of high-end blush options right now, but not a lot at the drugstore, which is why I'm super excited that this palette is so good. BTW, there is a full review post HERE of this affordable blush palette.
The brand new Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation has become a favorite foundation. This foundation is only $5.99, it also has a huge shade range which isn't always easy to find at the drugstore. After seeing some sponsored posts for this product, I wanted to be skeptical but after trying it over and over again, there's no way that I can't like it. It makes my skin looks so good, and at my age that's not always possible, especially at this price point! The one con about the Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation has to be the super paint like scent, but if you can get past that it is definitely worth trying out. I will be posting a full review of this foundation shortly because there's too much for me to share on here. Find this foundation at Walgreens, Target or Walmart.
I purchased these three Real Techniques Bold Metal Brushes at Ulta after finding them on sale for buy two get one free. Honestly, these brushes are pretty pricey at $12.99 a piece, but I've always eyed them since they launched and that day at my new Ulta I really wanted to pick something up. These brushes seemed like the perfect purchase since I have looking for a nice eyeshadow set. I used all three brushes the entire month of January and I'm super happy that I purchased them. Look for a full review of these Real Techniques Bold Metal brushes soon. Sorry they're so dirty, but you can tell that I have been majorly using them!

I have a selection of three lip products that I used and enjoyed most in January. Two of these are very affordable from the drugstore and one is a new Mac lippie that my daughter passed me from her collection. I got that mid-month but loved it from the minute she gave it to me.

Mac Brave - a light mauve in the amplified cream formula which means it super creamy, comfortable for all-day wear. It's also the prettiest color and looks great alone or as a topper.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes- this is a netural pink shade that goes great with any look. The formula of these lippies is super comfortable, it starts off creamy and very comfy but the finish is matte, without that liquid lipstick feel. These are some of my favorites lippies overall and there are SO many shades. Plus they're like $5.99 and always on sale at Ulta.
Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in Embrace - this liquid lipstick is from the original Milani Amore Matte launch and it's the most beautiful dark plum shade. Usually not a fan of liquid lipsticks, this is one of the rare formulas I can wear and not want to tear my lips off. Because of the color, this can dry a bit streaky, as you can see in the swatch. But I love wearing this lippie topped with a nude lipstick, which then makes it more of a mauve and a lot more wearable.
My favorite mascara of January has to be the Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara, which I did receive as PR. But this mascara is so good! It's totally brought me back to my love of MaxFactor which I used to use back in the 80's. The brush on this mascara separates my lashes, gives them length, volume and even my lower lashes look good when I use it. I've seen the Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara on clearance at a few different places, including at Target.com. If you happen to spot it, I suggest giving it a go.
A new liner to my collection (that I received from the brand) is the GA-DE Cosmetics High Precision Matte Eyeliner. This liner has a very matte finish and a fine tip applicator that bends really easily to make application a breeze. I love using this liner, it's made my liner application and creating a wing so much faster. The price of this liner is $16 and I definitely plan on replacing it once I finish this tube.

So that was it for my January Beauty Favorites. We are already knee deep into February and I already have tons of good stuff to share with you guys for next month's faves. Thanks for stopping by!
What are some of your January picks?
