March Beauty Favorites

March was a great month for me when it came to digging into my stash. I made a conscious effort to wear makeup as much as I could, even if it was just for a few evening hours. I also had extra time on a lot of mornings because my boyfriend helped me get everyone off to school, instead of my having to be out the door first thing in the morning. Therefore, I feel like I got to really use a ton of products and have some definite favorites. These aren't all the products that I enjoyed in March, but they were the ones that made the most impact.

Dior Nude Air Serum De Teint Foundation: A favorite in my stash, I am more than halfway through this bottle and already know that it's a definite repurchase. While this foundation gives you a more natural nude finish, I get a very nice medium coverage that can actually be built up to full. It's got the most beautiful airy consistency and it makes my skin look healthy and bright and practically flawless. I paired this a few times with the BECCA Backlight Priming Filter and found them to be a perfect match. If you have combo or dry skin and are looking for a foundation that gives the skin a gorgeous, natural glow, I recommend this one. Plus, the packaging is pretty top notch too.

You can find this at Sephora or Nordstrom

NARS Banc de Sable Highlighting Palette: I've had this palette for a month and at first I wasn't sure what to make of it, plus it arrived broken. I first felt it might not be strong enough to show up on my skin, because even though I don't want to have a blinding highlight, I still want to have a glow. I think it was the first palette that I got that was a bit of a dud because when my replacement palette arrived, it was quite different.

I've now been using the NARS Banc de Sable Highlighting Palette for a few weeks and I love it. I especially love mixing the first two shades together for a beautiful "skin of the gods" glow on my cheekbones. The formula of this product is so silky soft and the finish is stunning. It is rather pricey at $49 but it's a NARS product and you get three shades instead of just one, so I definitely think it's worth the price. This is the first highlighter I have actually incorporated into my beauty routine.

You can find this exclusively at Sephora.

OleHenriksen Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer: A moisturizer that has become an instant favorite for me. I got this sample with a promo code from Sephora and have fallen in love. This is the perfect daytime moisturizer for me because while it does a nice job of quenching my dry skin with moisture, it sinks completely into my skin after a few minutes. I don't like moisturizers that sit heavily on the skin, some that won't even sink into it and later make a mess of my foundation and makeup. No matter how much of this I use, I can apply my foundation and not have a slippery mess. I am now trying the night version of this product and the OleHenriksen Truth Serum.

Viseart Theory Palette in Chroma: As of this post, I own two of these Viseart Theory Palttes, this one and Minx. I admit I haven't given as much love to this one as Minx, that's why this month I made sure to grab for it. Once I did, I realized that I love it and in fact have found a love of adding a shimmery shade to the crease because of this little palette. I found myself reaching for this so much in March and I'm so glad I did.

Overall, these Viseart Theory Palettes are BOMB. The pigmentation on them is insane and the formula is so good. The black shade in Chroma is not super dark, but really the entire palette is so gorgeous and makes for a beautiful smoky eye. I suggest picking any or all of the Viseart Theory Palettes.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara: THIS mascara right here is so good! I am also a big fan of the Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot Mascara. I love them both so much that I can' even pick between the two to choose a favorite. That's why I recommend both if you're looking for a really good, affordable mascara. In March I pulled out the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara so much, even more than my high-end mascaras, which says a lot. This mascara is $6.94 at Walmart!

Find this at Ulta and Walmart

LORAC California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette: If you follow me on Snapchat then you know how hard I fought to not buy this palette. I am not usually a LORAC eyeshadow fan, as they are too soft and dusty for my tastes, but the color story of this palette eventually did me in. I ended up scoring a really good deal for this palette and two other LORAC products on HSN and since getting the palette I have been in love. It's not the easiest palette to work with at times but if you like the shades and the whole California winter theme, then I suggest picking it up. Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder: If you're a fan of a more cool-toned contour powder and are a light/medium skin tone then this is THE one. I love this compact so much. The setting and highlighting powder is a banana color, perfect for setting concealer and adding some brightness. The contour shade is the best. When I first got this ( a gift from the novio), I thought it an average product but once I had the right brushes for it I found how excellent it is. I highly recommend this compact wholeheartedly, I know it's a splurge at $49, but it's so worth the price. This will become your everyday contour & setting powder!

NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer: OMG, this concealer...it is LIFE! This is one of two products from this favorites post that I am going to say you MUST try. I have dry skin yet this is the only concealer that has actually made my under eye area look nice. Most concealers look okay, some look good, but this concealer makes my under eye area look years younger.

I apply this with a Real Techniques brush and love how I can control exactly how much product and coverage I want, plus where I want to put it. I've worn a small amount and layered it quite a bit on days I really want coverage and it always looks good. I love the consistency of this concealer and wish I could find a foundation with a similar formula. You have to try it, it's really worth every penny of the $30 it costs.

Find this at Sephora and Nordstrom.

NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Bound: This is the second product that I insist you must try out. When these first came out in December I was super excited for them, but since I missed out on the holiday collection I kinda forgot about them. Honestly, I thought they were glorified lip glosses, which aren't my thing. But I didn't stop thinking about Bound and one day in the store, I went ahead and picked it up. One of the best decisions I have ever made in Sephora

This is not a lip gloss or a lipstick, instead it's a hybrid with the most amazing, velvety formula. I know that liquid lipsticks are all the rage but if you're someone looking for an ultra-comfortable formula that is hydrating, beautiful and a pleasure to apply and wear, this is it. You have to at least try the shade Bound.

Find this at Sephora and Nordstrom.

That's it for my March faves guys. I apologize for going so high-end heavy this month, you guys know that I love drugstore products, but this month it was the high-end stuff that really stood out. I can't wait to see what the rest of April brings and look forward to picking out my favorites in a few weeks.
