February Beauty Favorites

Welcome to my February Beauty Favorites. I have actually been buying and testing a lot of products in the past two months - but I try my best not to fill my favorites videos with these new products. Instead, I try to pick products that I have used for longer than a few weeks - products that are truly favorites that I reach for. I just realized that almost everything in this post is high-end, I apologize about that. I usually make sure to include a nice mix of price ranges but this month I guess I fell into the high-end rabbit hole. Sorry!

Too Faced Wardrobe Bronzer:  I purchased this bronzer book at launch and only began to use it at the end of 2016. This year I am trying to no longer have "collection pieces" and trying to use all the products that are still new in my stash. This book is a perfect example of a really great product that was going unused and now that I have discovered it, I can't believe how long I left it go unloved.

The Too Faced Wardrobe Bronzer is no longer available for sale, unfortunately. But if you ever spot it at a Marshalls (where they sent off the last batches), I would grab it. The Too Faced bronzers are all pretty fantastic and this book makes it easy to mix and match my bronzer each day. I had so much fun in February dipping into the different pans each time I did my makeup and coming up with my own perfect bronze.

When and if I ever finish this bronzer book, I will be purchasing the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil in a large size, and maybe the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soilel, both which are my fave in the wardrobe.

LORAC California Dreaming Cheek Palette: a favorite of mine from 2017, is still as amazing as it was when I could not put it down last spring and summer. While I don't normally jive too well with LORAC eyeshadows, I am such a fan of their blushes.

The LORAC California Dreaming Cheek Palette includes four shades, my favorite that I could not stop using all month are the two matte shades in the middle. For the $30 price tag, I think this is an amazing palette, and even though it's from last year I did find it in stock at Dermstore

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Barbara....sigh. It's so pretty and so perfect!

This is one of the newer products which I got in January that I didn't want to put in a favorites post too early, but this lipstick is perfection. Barbara is a perfect brown nude, it's the nudest lipstick that I have ever worn, and the formula is just creamy and amazing.

With the purchase of Barbara, I was looking for my perfect, everyday nude, and I definitely found it. I also got a small version of Ana (the other shade I have been coveting for a long time) but haven't started using that yet. I am so in love with this NARS Audacious Lipstick and will definitely get more in the future.

Purchase Barbara at Ulta, Sephora or Nordstrom.

YSL Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in Rosewood Gang. These lipsticks have been all over social media for the past few months so when I had a $20 coupon for ShopSpring.com, I had to take the opportunity to order one. I chose the shade Rosewood Gang after a very extensive few days of Googling swatches and watching swatch vids on YT.

Rosewood Gang is a deep mauve pink, a little more pink than most many similar shades I already own, and it's stunning. It's a beautiful color that immediately livens up my face, and so far I have found that I like it with most of my eye looks. At first when I saw how pink it was I wasn't sure how many eye looks I would be able to wear it with but so far it's been very versatile. Which is exactly what you want from a $36 lip product.

Formula is super comfy, this coming from someone who does NOT love liquid lippies. I just really like this lipstick and am lookin forward to ordering a second one. I know! But I do have a $10 credit on Dote and this is what I am choosing to spend it on.

Purchase th YSL Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain at Nordstrom or Sephora.

Lancôme Juicy Shaker in Berry In Love is my favorite of the four Juicy Shakers I own. Juicy Shakers are a tint-in-oil product that feels super amazing on the lips, the oil is thin and the barely-there hint of color In Berry In Love is perfect.

I usually wear this when I am not wearing makeup, though it looks amazing on with a full face, but this is the product I reach for in the morning as I am walking out to do drop offs. I keep the little shaker in my car so I can reapply during the day (this product has zero staying power), and because of the design, I really enjoy applying it as many times as I need to.

I love the LancÔme Juicy Shakers so much that I would buy more, but I currently have four total and this is the only one with a significant dent in it. So - I will not be buying more anytime soon.

Purchase the Lancôme Juicy Shaker at Nordstrom, Sephora or Ulta

Pixi Beauty Rose Oil Blend: if there is one product in this post that I would say is a must-have, it might be this Pixi Beauty Rose Oil Blend. It's just such a multi-tasker, and a more affordable product than you would expect.

I use the Pixi Beauty Rose Oil Blend as an all over body moisturizer, on it's own or mixed in with my moisturizer, I use it to mix with foundations to make them a bit thinner and dewy, and right now I am using it as the last step before my foundation. I take a few drops of the oil, after my moisturizer, and tap the product into my skin. I wait a few minutes before going in with foundation and it makes my foundation glide on like a dream while giving whichever foundation I am wearing, a dewy and most beautiful finish. This is not something I would do in the summer months, but with this cold weather, the Pixi Beauty Rose Oil Blend has been a life saver. Highly recommended!

Purchase the Pixi Beauty Rose Oil Blend at PixiBeauty.com or Target

Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation: this foundation has been a favorite for years and after not having it in my collection for a few months, I was happy to get a new bottle. From the first day I tried it again, I remembered why I love this foundation so much. The formula of this foundation is equally as beautiful as my LancÔme holy grail foundation - the LancÔme Teint Idole, but it has added randiance which makes my skin look like it's lit-from-within. It makes my skin look like it's naturally radiant (which it's not), and healthy.

Purchase LancÔme Teint Miracle Foundation at Ulta or Nordstrom. BTW - I read that this is being discontinued!

I had one more favorite, the Kevyn Aucoin Etherealist Super Natural Ethereal Concealer, but have decided to dedicate an entire post to that product alone because it's become a favorite concealer, not just a monthly favorite.

I hope you've enjoyed learning more about my February Favorites, which are late as usual. I look forward to coming back in a few weeks with a new list of monthly beauty faves.

  1. Last year, I did my makeover for my brother's wedding from Lina, she also trains makeup lesson by Lina Cameron , she used this palette. After seeing the outlook, I so loved this one! I purchased this palette later on and this is now one of my favorite! This is very helpful and all universal shades! This palette is a must have in my opinion!
